This fall, one actor takes five shots of whiskey and attempts an epic retelling of Transylvania’s thirstiest bachelor… DRACULA!
When history’s most famous vampire (sorry, Edward) is loosed upon the Big Apple, will you try to stop him…or let him have his way? The Drunk Shakespeare Society is paying homage to the original drinker and bringing its brand of mayhem to the spooky season with Drunk Dracula.

Overall rating: 4.9 Saw: drunk Dracula LMAO, wow, an absolute must visit. I was expecting it to be okay, but not hilariously amazing!! The seating area if very small & honestly any seat is good. My friends and I sat at the front and I usually can’t follow shows to be honest. I have a very low attention span. But wow, I was following everything immediately. I went just for a halloween special, but I highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

We went to Drunk Dracula in Houston and LOVED it! From start to finish, it was hilarious, unpredictable, and the perfect mix of spooky and ridiculous. The cast is insanely talented — the improv moments had us cry-laughing, and the audience interaction made it feel like you were part of the show instead of just watching it. The pacing was great, the jokes landed, and the “Dracula after a few drinks” twist? Absolutely iconic. It felt like a late-night comedy special blended with a Halloween party and a splash of chaos — in the BEST way. If you’re looking for something different, fun, and full of energy, Drunk Dracula is worth every penny. We’d go again in a heartbeat. Houston, do NOT miss this one!Posted on Google![]()

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Drunken Dracula was absolutely legendary—especially going on Halloween night! 🎃🦇💀 Me and my fiancé got the VIP passes and it was worth every single penny. We weren’t just watching a show… we were part of it! From the moment we walked in, the energy was electric. The cast was insanely talented, and the crowd interaction was next level—you’re not just sitting in a seat, you’re pulled into the madness in the best way possible. I have never laughed so hard in my life! 🤣🔥 The Halloween vibe took it over the top—costumes, chaos, and unforgettable moments. The VIP experience made it personal, hilarious, and something we’ll talk about forever. If you’re looking for a night full of wild fun, edgy humor, and immersive entertainment, Drunken Dracula is a MUST. 10/10—we’ll be back next year without a doubt! 🧛♂️🖤🍷Posted on Google![]()

BEFORE YOU BITE.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
Same team, new undead story. Drunk Dracula comes from The Drunk Shakespeare Society, the company that’s been getting one actor gloriously drunk and turning classics into chaos for over a decade. This time we’ve traded iambic pentameter for Transylvania’s thirstiest bachelor. If you loved Drunk Shakespeare, or any of our drunken tales, you already know the drill: real actors, real alcohol, and no two nights are the same. If you’ve never been, this is a great place to start.
It’s a comedy in a cape. Expect fog, strobe lights, loud noises, and hilarious antics – nobody is going to chase you, and we don’t actually bite… hard.
No homework required. If you know that vampires and drinking exist, you’re caught up. The jokes are modern, the references are pop culture, and the plot stays as clear as it can after 5 shots of whiskey.
Yes – really. One professional actor drinks five shots of the liquor of their choice to start the show. The cast rotates who drinks each night, eats and hydrates beforehand, and is provided with safe transportation home. We take drinking responsibly seriously, and work with our team to make sure it is safe and sustainable.
Not at all. The cast drinks so you don’t have to. There is no drink minimum, and we’ve got a great selection of mocktails that can be delivered directly to your seat.
Only if you volunteer. Participation is always your choice – sit in the back row to watch, stage side to play, or take the throne to run the whole show.
Looking for things to do in NYC this fall that aren’t another Broadway markup or a rooftop bar? Drunk Dracula is a clever, unhinged speakeasy spectacle in Midtown. Date-night-friendly and group-friendly. 90 minutes, no intermission – your night is still young when it ends. The show is strictly 21+ and everyone is ID’d at the door.
The Ruby Theatre is located on 39th Street between 5th and 6th. It is easily accessible via most subway lines to Bryant Park or Times Square.
